Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 215 employees facility with 10 direct reports to ensure efficient, cost effective, safe, and compliant execution of production planning, inventory management, line operations, equipment preventative maintenance, and quality control of finished product.

Oversaw $27M in capital projects in a turnaround effort of a multiline 170K sq. ft. manufacturing plant.

Hold responsibility for shrink control, cycle counts, and production formula control. Apply GMP, 6-S, and Lean/TPM principles to control costs and quality; ensure adherence to FDA, HACCP, OSHA, and BRC standards. Monitor adherence to three union contracts/work environments. Develop and implement Annual Operating Plan (AOP) spanning budget, labor, productivity, capital expenditures and sales planning; compile period/annual financial/KPI results.

  • Reduced $16K in propane expenses and $192K in sewer charges
  • Implemented Lean/TPM improvements to generate substantial impacts to key metrics from FY08 to FY12, including
      - 54% reduction in waste as well as 24% increase in plant efficiency.
